PROJEX Wins “Welcome to United Way” Award
Monday, February 28, 2011 at 3:38PM February 16, 2011 – United Way’s annual Spirits of Gold Awards recognized Calgary’s top organizations that demonstrate distinction in leadership, spirit and excellence. PROJEX was one of 62 organizations nominated for this year’s Spirits of Gold Awards, and won the Welcome to United Way award.
This award recognizes organizations of 15 or more employees that held an employee campaign for the first time. Eligibility for the award was based on the following criteria: the organization has not conducted an employee campaign during the past five consecutive years, the campaign demonstrated high achievement in participation and gift, and had significant management support.
K.M. Chan, United Way Senior Campaign Manager, noted “As an organization new to the United Way family, we truly appreciate your involvement in the 2010 campaign. We know it takes additional effort to organize fun and creative activities to engage and inspire people. We hope that it was an important team building exercise in your company and that it raised the community spirit among your staff.”
“These awards are recognition of our culture and employee support that was above and beyond during this year’s campaign,” said PROJEX CEO Barry Brad. “I would like to thank everyone for their support; it is because of you that we were able to make a lasting difference in our community.”
PROJEX is a full service engineering firm that delivers design, engineering, procurement, and construction management for thermal in situ heavy oil production and processing facilities in Western Canada.
